Scope and contact
This notice explains information handling for Polar Nature at stormiq.cc. It covers reading the publication and using its contact-draft feature. For a privacy inquiry, use [email protected] through your own email service, or prepare text on our contact page. The contact page only copies a draft; you must separately send it to make an inquiry.
Purposes and information we receive
Technical connection information is used to deliver requested pages, maintain reliability, investigate errors and protect the service against abuse. We do not require reader accounts, payment details or a public profile. The search feature matches your query against the article archive in your browser; a query in a page URL can also be included in browser history or technical request records.
If you separately send us a message, its sender address, contents and any information you choose to include may be used to handle the inquiry, assess a correction and keep relevant correspondence. Please provide only the information needed for that purpose. Do not send sensitive personal information unless necessary and an appropriate channel has been agreed.
Reading the site
Visiting a website sends technical connection information to its hosting infrastructure, such as an IP address and the requested page. The hosting provider may process security and access information. This notice does not promise a fixed hosting-log retention period that we have not verified.
Contact drafts
The contact page processes the fields you enter in the page and can copy a formatted draft to your device clipboard. It does not submit those fields to us, store them in a site database, open an email application or create a support ticket. Editing, clearing, leaving or reloading the page changes or removes the draft held in page memory. Browser features such as autofill may operate independently.
Clipboard and later messages
After copying, the draft is on your device clipboard. Your operating system, clipboard history or other permitted applications may be able to access it. If you paste and send it using another service, that service handles the transmission under its own policies. Avoid including sensitive personal information.
Cookies, analytics and hosting
The editorial site does not require an account or use local storage to retain contact drafts. The deployed hosting configuration may use Cloudflare security features and Cloudflare Web Analytics. These services can process technical request or performance information. Their collection and retention depend on the hosting configuration; we do not describe them as a locally operated analytics service.
Advertising
We may introduce advertisements in the future, including Google AdSense. The site currently has no advertising integration. The following explanation describes a possible future use, not advertising data collection already taking place on this site.
If Google advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this or other websites. Google's advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to show ads based on visits to sites across the Internet. Depending on the services and your choices, information shared with Google may include the page URL, IP address and cookie or similar identifiers for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention.
Before introducing advertising, we will update this notice to identify the actual vendors and data practices and provide the applicable consent and withdrawal controls. Where required, including under Google's applicable requirements for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, relevant storage and personalized-ad processing will depend on valid consent. The links below do not replace a site's required consent controls.
Google personalized-ad choices
You can use Google's My Ad Center link below to turn off personalized advertising for the Google settings to which it applies. Google may ask you to sign in. Follow Google's on-screen explanation of the setting's scope. This is a Google control, not a Polar Nature account setting.
Turning off personalization does not remove all advertisements or stop every form of data processing. Google explains that contextual ads may still appear and that information may still be used for purposes such as measurement and fraud prevention. The second link explains how Google uses information from sites and apps using its services; it is an information page, not an opt-out button.
Browser controls and other providers
Your browser may let you block or delete cookies and manage site permissions. These choices can affect website features and do not necessarily turn off every provider's personalized advertising. Google settings do not control every other advertising vendor. If other advertising vendors are added, we will identify them and link to their applicable privacy and choice information.
Recipients, retention and international processing
Hosting, security and communications providers may process information needed to supply their services. Following an external link or sending a message through your own provider is subject to that provider's practices. Depending on the provider and deployment, processing may take place outside your country. Applicable transfer requirements and safeguards must be assessed for the services actually used; this notice does not assert a particular hosting location or unverified transfer arrangement.
Contact drafts are not retained in a site database. Copied text remains subject to your device's clipboard controls. If you send correspondence separately, it may be retained for handling the inquiry and related records, subject to applicable obligations. Hosting-log and provider retention depend on the actual services and configuration; we do not claim a fixed period that has not been verified.
Your privacy rights and requests
Depending on where you live and the processing involved, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing depends on it, or complain to the relevant data-protection authority. These rights have conditions and exceptions; this notice does not promise that every right applies in every jurisdiction.
Send a privacy request through your own email service using the contact address above. Describe the request and relevant interaction without sending unnecessary identity documents. Proportionate verification may be needed before disclosing or changing personal information. For information controlled by Google or another provider, use that provider's privacy controls as appropriate. We will address requests in accordance with applicable requirements.
Security and children
No website, email service or device clipboard is completely secure. Avoid including confidential information in contact drafts or messages, and consider who can access your device and clipboard history. We do not promise that third-party services or transmissions are risk-free.
This publication is intended for a general audience and does not provide accounts or a child-directed submission service. We do not ask children to submit personal information. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us with enough context to investigate without repeating unnecessary sensitive details. Any required response will depend on the circumstances and applicable law.

Source and image-credit links take you to other organizations with their own privacy practices. For a privacy question, prepare a draft through the contact page and choose how to deliver it. The page itself is not an inbox and cannot confirm receipt or a response time.
Changes to this notice
We may revise this notice when the site's features, providers or information practices change. The updated date identifies the current notice. Material changes will be explained on the site where appropriate, and any new consent required for changed processing will be requested rather than inferred from an earlier visit.
