A reader for polar science
Polar Nature explains Arctic and Antarctic wildlife, ice, oceans, observation and expedition context for curious readers. We focus on questions that become clearer when measurements, definitions and evidence are kept distinct. We are not a research institution, an expedition operator or an emergency service.
What our articles contribute
Articles combine source-backed explanation with comparisons, worked reading methods and clearly identified limitations. Each article lists its factual sources. We do not claim that reading source material is original field research, or present licensed reference photographs as our own expeditions.
Authorship and evidence
Articles are credited to the Polar Nature editorial desk. We do not claim academic credentials, interviews or professional review that we cannot document. Readers can inspect the linked institutions and studies rather than rely on a fictional author biography. Named institutions are sources, not sponsors or endorsers.
Dates and corrections
A revision date records substantive work on an article; it is not automatically the date of an event or a new measurement. Historical URL names may remain in place when an unsupported news story is replaced with an explainer. Significant corrections are explained in the revised text. We do not promise a weekly publishing schedule.
Reader inquiries and funding
The contact page prepares a draft for copying. It does not deliver a message or confirm receipt. We currently include no advertising or affiliate links in the editorial pages. Any future advertising or data-use changes require updated disclosures and the applicable consent arrangements.
